|

When registering, I need to select
a username. Should I use my real name or a pseudonym? |
| Ans. |

to share your medical information with others so you can
contact and be contacted by people with similar circumstances.
You may want to use a pseudonym as your username to protect
your privacy. |

|
| KNOWLEDGE
|
| Q. |
What is the Knowledge section? |
| Ans. |
The Knowledge section is
a multi-media program (audio, visuals, text) to help you
learn about breast cancer and its treatment. |
|
| Q. |
How do I get to the Knowledge section? |
| Ans. |
On the member home page,
click either the "Knowledge" tab on the top
navigation bar, or the "Attend the Program"
link. |
|
| Q. |
How do I attend the program? |
| Ans. |
You will see a table of
contents on the left-side of the Knowledge page. You can
expand these by clicking on the plus ("+") to
the left of the chapter titles. Click again on the sub-chapter
titles that then appear. |
|
| Q. |
Must I view each of the chapters in
the table of contents in order? |
| Ans. |
No. You do not need to view
each of the chapters and sub-chapters in order. However,
we recommend you look at the chapters and sub-chapters
in order to get the most from the program. |
|
| Q. |
What happens when I click on one of
the sub-chapter titles? |
| Ans. |
That section of the program
will load and you will be able to view it. |
|
| Q. |
What are "Listen," "Read,"
and "Understand"? |
| Ans. |
Most parts of the program
have three different sections: Listen, Read, and Understand.
"Listen" is a multi-media audio-and-animation
presentation. "Read" is a text version of the
presentation that also includes illustrations. "Understand"
is a set of interactive questions and exercises to help
you deepen your knowledge of the subject matter. |
|
| Q. |
Do I need to go through the Listen,
Read and Understand segments for each section? |
| Ans. |
No. Most people find the
Listen section the most helpful at first. Read is good
for review and reinforcement, although some people prefer
to read rather than hear about a subject. You may or may
not want to go through the Understand sections at first,
or you may want to come back to them later. |
|
| CONVERSATIONS |
| Q. |
What is the Conversations section? |
| Ans. |
Conversations are audio
interviews with breast cancer survivors ("Our Story")
and health care professionals ("Docs and Other Angels")
who specialize in breast cancer. |
|
| Q. |
How do I get to the Conversations
section? |
| Ans. |
On the member home page,
click either the "Conversations" tab on the
top navigation bar, or the "Search Conversations
Archive" link. You can also click on the names of
one of the currently featured speakers. |
|

There is always a featured
medical provider ("Docs and Other Angels") and
a featured peer ("Our Story"). These present
the program's most recent conversations and interviews. |
|
| Q. |
What are the speaker archives? |
| Ans. |
There are archives for past
provider ("Docs and Other Angels") and peer
("Our Story") speakers. These are previous conservations
you may be interested in hearing if you have not already
done so. |
|
| Q. |
How do I get to an archived conversation? |
| Ans. |
Click the "Search Conversations
Archive" link on the member home page. Then click

| Ans. |
You click on the name of
any of the entries you are interested in. |
|
| Q. |
How do I add a post for the forum? |
| Ans. |
There are two ways to do
this. First, you can click the "New Post" link
on the forum page. You will be taken to a "Post a
New Message" screen that you can then fill out and
submit by clicking the "Post" button at the

so that others know the subject of your post! The second
way to add a post is to click on the name of someone else's
entry, and then click the reply button on the upper right
side of the page. This enables you to reply to a specific
post. |
|

and start over. |

|
| Q. |
How do I get to the Profile section? |
| Ans. |
On the member home page,

"Understanding My Cancer," "Treating My
Cancer," or "Private Notes." (When you
first arrive on this page, you will be automatically sent
to the "My Information" section.) You can then
answer the questions presented to you. As you complete
each question or series of questions, you can navigate
to the next part in that section by clicking the links
on the left side of the screen. Once you have completed
all parts of a section, you navigate to the next section
by clicking the next tab on the top navigation bar. |
|
| Q. |

as you want to or can. Many questions will also allow
you to answer "Do not know". |
|
| Q. |
Will the answers to my questions be
shared with others? |
| Ans. |
No answers will be shared
at this time. They will be shared in the future only if

us feedback approximately two weeks after you begin the

this at that time. |
